Cool Song: Ashton Shepherd - "Look It Up"

Here's what I have learned through time; do not mess with a country girl especially if she can sing or write songs.  Queens and princesses of Country music - from Taylor Swift to Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain, Miranda Lambert or Reba McEntire, have all put a guy on blast in their songs one way or the other. And boy do these women know how to turn a phrase and get the message across!

While boys seem to always apologise or sing about their pickup trucks, the girls are quick to tell them that they do not need them. Carrie Underwood angrily sang in "Before He Cheats": 

That I dug my key into the side of his

pretty little souped up 4 wheel drive,

carved my name into his leather seats...

I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights,

slashed a hole in all 4 tires...

Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.

Little Taylor is always sweet with her breakup songs but you still get the message like in "Should Have Said No";

And then there is Ashton Shepherd who appears on the David Gresham and SABC3's latest compilation, Countrywide. Ashton's single "Look It Up" is cut number 15 on the albumn. When I heard the track I chuckled and wondered what the poor guy she is referring to must have done.
