Brandy And Monica Team Up Again

Wow, can you believe it is nearly 14 years since Brandy & Monica dropped their hit single, “The Boy is Mine”?! The song that became the anthem of the 90s. Who did not know the lyrics to the song? The only other songs that have had the same effect on popular culture has been "Dilemma" by Nelly and Kelly then recently it would probably be Beyonce' "Listen"

The Boy Is Mine single garnered the pair a number of industry awards, including a Grammy for "Best RnB Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" and three Billboard Music Awards. It was also nominated for Record of the Year.

Billboard listed it 54th on the Billboard: All-Time Hot 100 Top Songs. It is listed as the 62nd on the most successful singles in France ever. 

It is also listed among one of the most successful 200 singles in Australia, Netherlands and Belgium in music history.

A lot has changed since the duo musically argued over that “boy” and received that Grammy. The RnB princesses have grown up. 

Brandy has somewhat faded off the radar since FULL MOON. She tried a comeback recently that just did not work even though the single "Long Distance" had some potential. Monica has yet to have a hit of "Street Symphony" or "For You I Will" success level. She has however become a mommy.

Now the duo is set to release a brand new duet entitled, “It All Belongs to Me” which will be available Feb. 8th, stateside. 

The track will be featured on Brandy’s upcoming album that is currently set to drop on the 6th of March. 

This will be Brandy’s first release from her new label home, RCA. 

Will this collab yield the same magic that The Boy Is Mine did? We'll see ...
