Muvhango Star Becomes The Face Of Rage

You may know her as the conniving "Meiki" on SABC2 soapie, Muvhango but to her friends she is just Nthabi. The gorgeous actress has just been named as one of the faces of RAGE.

The beaming actress said ;
"I've always loved Rage Clothing and Shoes because it is a Proudly South African product. It's designed by South African and being quite patriotic myself I was extremely excited."
I am not even gonna pretend that I know anything about RAGE because I do not but upon inquiring I learned that the brand has actually been at the forefront of pushing local designers. According to suits at the company, Rage is an uniquely South African brand, born and bred on our local soil, designing fab looks by South Africans for South Africans.

It would appear that our nation's youth fashionistas agree as the brand has become one of the fastest growing clothing brand in Mzansi. Mainly known for shoes according to my sources, the brand has positioned itself as a formidable force in the fashion industry.

It seems Nthabi got the bug too. She confesses;
"I was very excited when Rage glanced my direction and wanted me to endorse their brand/product! I still can't believe I'm part this entire campaign"
Yeah Nthabi ... we'll pretend that you are not a dream for any brand to have as their face -- with all that gorgeousness. A beautiful girl like Nthabi with a personality to match is PR gold for endorsements. Let us hope this is the beginning of many more to come.

Nthabi's contract with the brand will run for 6 months. She and Rhythm City actress Nolo Phiri will be endorsing the brand's Winter Collection.

How did you find out about the deal?
"I got a call from Nolo's manager who had suggested me to Rage and the marketing manager loved me, my look, and decided I share this platform with Nolo. It was sometime in October when I got the call."
What are you hoping this deal will do for your personal brand?
"Well I hope people will not only see me as just an actress. I hope they see the personality behind my character Meiki, and start to recognise Nthabi Mphahlele in her own right"
Well, I certainly hope this is the beginning of a trend that will see many more local artists taking on roles like this beyond just their paycheck jobs. It's great to see our young celebrities get involved in endorsement deals, that is how this industry will grow and start feeding its artists.

All the best to Nthabi!
