New Aaliyah Albumn Coming Soon
Word is; Aaliyah fans will be very happy to know that the news they have been waiting for since her passing in 2001 has finally become a reality; a new album is on the way. If rumours on American blogs are anything to go by.
“Just got great news today; the smash unreleased song called “Steady Ground” I produced on #Aaliyah is gonna be on her upcoming album:)”, Tweeted Walker.
Static Major penned track “Steady Ground”, has made some rounds on the internet after her passing as an unreleased song. J. Dub revealed that the song was in fact intended to be a single on the “Aaliyah” album;
“It was really the first single after “Rock The Boat”, but my engineer was mixing the record and somehow lost the vocals. So the vocals that you hear are really just the demo vocals”, said Walker.
“The final vocals got erased, so yeah. So that’s why it didn’t make the album.”
It’s always been rumored that she left many unreleased tracks in the archives that she recorded prior to her passing.
Sadly, just as quickly as there hopes were enticed, when Aaliyah’s brother Rashad rained on fans' parade by refuting claims J. Dub that there will be an albumn. He issued the following statement via his Twitter last night:
“Statement: there is no official album being released and supported by the Haughton family.”
Even though it’s been a decade since Aaliyah’s passing, can she still put the likes of Rihanna and Beyonce on their paces? The last true princess of RnB and crossover music has definitely left an indelible mark in the world.
Regardless of whether the Haughton family support the release of Aaliyah's music or not, many fans around the world are waiting in bated breath to hear her voice again.
Before girls started leaking sex tapes and performing half naked on stage, there was Aaliyah, who was beautiful, talented and oh so damn sexy without having to debase herself.
We miss you girl, and can not wait to get the albumn!!!
