DJ Black Coffee Launches A DVD

Known and loved for the often jazzy, always soulful, vocal house remixes he releases under his Soulistic Music Label internationally renowned South African Dj and Musician, Black Coffee will be releasing his new DVD called Black Rising

The enigmatic Black Coffee has dazzled crowds around the world spinning the decks in record-breaking sets and is one of South Africa’s most internationally renowned songwriters and producers.

His previous albums have gone Gold and Platinum and in the past seven years his Soulistic Label has paved the way for a number of other artists to tour internationally, helping to establish a global presence for South African dance music.

His last album, Home Brewed, released in 2009, is heading for Double Platinum sales.

In 2010 he won SAMA awards for Best Urban Dance Album and Best Male Artist; in 2011 he was nominated for an MTV Europe Africa, India and Middle East Category Award for the best Worldwide Act, and for the 2012 SAMA Awards he received two nominations for Best Remix of the Year.

Now comes a DVD!!!

It was filmed live at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, Black Coffee accompanied by a number of guest artists including Bucie, Victor Ntoni, Thiwe, Black Moses, Brothers of Peace, Zakes Bantwini, Tumelo and others, played with a 24 piece orchestra to 8 000 + ecstatic fans, performing the tracks that made him an international phenomenon. 

It also includes never seen before behind-the-scenes footage and is set to be shown at select cinemas nationwide, broadcast across Africa and streamed through handsets.

African Rising DVD will be available this month.
