Lawrence Maleka Goes International With A New Show

Remember that guy that was in the TOP 4 of the Selimathunzi presenter search? The same guy that some of you were hoping would be Bonang's co-host on Live before the show decided to do its own presenter search. Well, Lawrence has finally graduated from community TV to national... errr not quite... the brotha is taking over Africa thanks to DSTV!!

Word just in is that Lawrence will be hosting a new show on Africa Magic called Star Gist. Yes that's what it is called, I too had to take a pause when I read that name. 

Unfortunately for all you Lawrence fans, the brand-new daily showbiz entertainment magazine show will NOT be shown in South Africa when it premieres on AfricaMagic Entertainment channel on MultiChoice's DStv, Monday 11 June at 19:30 in the rest of Africa.

The new Star Gist which will be a weekday show with 5 new episodes per week.

The focus will be on daily African entertainment and fashion news, do profile segments with personalities, attend glamour events, visit behind-the-scenes of music video shoots, TV shows and movies. Basically another, Selimathunzi, RGB, Flash, Mzansi Insider, All Access, etc just with stars from across the continent. 

Lawrence Maleka will co-host the show with Vimbai "Miss Vee" Muthinhiri (25) from Zimbabwe.

Congratulations to Lawrence. As I stated HERE, the guy does have talent for TV presenting. 

Star Gist premieres across the continent on Monday, 11th June at 19h30 only on DSTV channel AfrikaMagic
