Unathi Msengana Becomes Grazia SA's First Local Cover Girl

In case you have not heard, Unathi has made history. Hot off the popularity and hype of Idols the popular Radio and Tv personality nabbed herself the honour of being Mzansi's first local cover girl for the Grazia magazine.

According to Grazia South Africa - with the mag covering not just fashion but current affairs, beauty, lifestyle and entertainment, the very first home-grown cover star needed to have the ultimate blend of star power and style to enthrall the magazine’s globally savvy, thirty something, urban professional female reader.

Who better embodies those qualities than the wholesome, radiant and ever-stylish singer, songwriter, Idols judge and radio personality Unathi Msengana

Mrs Rudeboy Paul will make history as Grazia South Africa’s very first local cover star.

The 33-year old personality and mother-of-two talks Grazia through her favourite styles of the Idols season, as well as how she got into such great shape after the birth of her baby.

The cover and the accompanying piece's pictures were shot on location on the streets of Sandton by Aubrey Jonsson and Mbali Soga.

This past Friday GRazia SA hosted some fabulous Joburg socialites and fashionistas at Koi in Rosebank to unveil the Unathi issue.

I personally did not like the setup but the relaxed atmosphere of the guests and the flow of alcohol made up for the bad choice in location.

Needless to say, Unathi stole the spotlight with her tight cocktail number that hugged her in the right places and made her look like the fabulous woman Mzansi has fallen in love with.

Out every Friday, Grazia South Africa launched in May this year and is aimed at a globally savvy, 30-something urban professional woman who reads monthlies, but wants more.

Phil. Unathi's husband is Bad Boy T not Rudeboy Paul.

Thanks Nok. Funny thing is that I interviewed the husband at SA Fashion Week last year and introduced him on camera as Rudeboy. I was so embarassed but he took it in his stride and laughed it off. After correcting me, of course :)
