Whats The South African Connection In Baby Hope

There is a South African connection in the show. Baby Hope whom the premise of the show is centered around's prison number is 46664. It's the same as Nelson Mandela's which has now become an international symbol of hope. You can see this on the first season when Jimmy goes to pick up the baby after the mother's been executed. 

Raising Hope premiered in South Africa on M-Net and DStv's M-Net HD channel on Friday 8 July 2011, at 19h00. It is currently being broadcast on  M-Net Series.
