Congratulations To Ndumiso Hadebe

I have been so busy that I never got a chance to congratulate twenty-one year-old Ndumiso Hadebe from Vereeniging for being the winner of One Day Leader 2 as seen on  SABC1 on Sunday 12 May.

Over the course of 12 weeks SABC1 viewers watched youths execute challenges and debate leadership skills based on modern day social, economic and political issues to compete for the title of One Day Leader.
Says Hadebe: “My life is centred on people, working with them, experiencing challenges with them and being of service to them. I’m so grateful for this One Day Leader opportunity and will use this platform to serve, inform and inspire a new kind of leader, a new kind of young person and a new generation of young people who are driven to become masters of their own destiny.
“This life is about service to others and the persistent pursuit to leave the world in a better state than we found it. The greatest accolade man can achieve is that of making a difference and establishing a legacy of nation building.”
I still belive that this is one of the best shows on television though I will admit that I was not as much a loyal viewer of this season as I was with the first.

Hadebe’s prize includes: A Shanduka Black Umbrella three year mentorship programme to start a business; R50 000 cash prize; and R10 000 for his community project

Congrats to Ndumiso. Another young bright black brother who is an inspiration. You do not wait for opportunities to be created for you or have the government come rescue you, you get up and take charge of your future. Ndumiso did and we salute him for that!!
