Pearl Modiadie Leaves YFM

The Thembisa-born television presenter, radio DJ and producer best known to TV audiences for presenting the kids programming block Craz-e is bidding farewell to Jozi's No.1 Youth Station, YFM at the end of May.

Word from her management in is;
She is leaving the station due to her hectic schedule and to focus on other projects. She is a regular field presenter on SABC 3’s Expresso, an experience she is thoroughly enjoying and other aspects of her career include acting, one of her passions that she pursued this year and will continue to work on.
Pearl's rise has been a rather sweet one. After matric she took a gap year to try and get into television. She took a job at Sport Scene in Sandton and while there there got an agent and started auditioning. Within 3 months she got the Crazee job

In 2007 Modiadie co-hosted the kids game show Crazed Out, which premiered on's Crazee flagship on Thursday 3 May 2007, at 15h30.

She went on to become content producer for the television series Sistahood on the same platform, which she also hosted until April 2012.

On Wednesday, 23 January 2013 she made her debut on the soapie Scandal! as Kefilwe Malope, a fiesty young girl with a track record of drug abuse and ulterior motives. And I gotta say... she did a stellar job on that part. A perfect mix of beauty and cunning menace delivered with a subtlety that would make Halle Berry blush.

Now she is a host of a new music show on SABC1 which will premiere this month. I guess it safe to say if her career continues to rise at this trajectory then we can expect great things from Pearl in future.

I have never listened to her show on YFM so I will just assume that her listeners will miss her.
