South Africa's Highest Rated Television Presenters

Based on the number of viewers each presenter's show attracts and judging from the latest available stats from Primetime TAMS ratings, the following are the Top rated presenters on South African television ...

The Ladies

Pearl Thusi - as a co-host of Sabc1's entertainment news show Real Goboza, Pearl (and Phat Joe)  attract 3.4 million plus viewers

Andile Gaelesiwe - Khumbul'ekhaya attracts 2.3 million viewers

Penny Lebyane - As the host of SABC2's talkshow Motswako, Penny is viewed by over 1.5 million

Dineo Ranaka - Club 808 co-host has been part of this ratings darling for a couple of years now and she continues to attract fans. The show now sits on 1.5 million

Lerato Kganyago - From community tv to attracting over 1.4 million viewers with her SABC1 entertainment news show The Link. Not bad for someone who's had to deal with a lot of rejection in this business.  

The Fellas

1.

Phat Joe - It is always a toss up between Dj Sbu and Joe at the top of this list as both shows are somewhat each other's competition in the ratings and the margin between them is always small. Joe wins this time because the latest figures show that RGB has 3.4 million viewers

DJ Sbu - Friends Like These has been a rating gold for SABC for its entire run on the channel. It has never disappointed. Right now it attracts 3.2 million viewers.

Dingaane Mokebe - As the new host of Speak Out on SABC2 Dingaane walked into a platform that invited him into 2.5 million homes every week.

Johann Stemmet - 22 years and 38 seasons later, Noot Vir Noot is not only the longest running game show in South Africa but it still manages to attract an average of 1.6 million viewers. Not bad for a show that has not changed much since its premiere in 1991. The show has made Johann Stemmet one of the richest people on SA television. It's produced by Stemmburg Television which he own with musical director Johan van Rensburg.

Luyanda Potwana - The yet unknown presenter is a host of a new reality show on SABC1 called Nyan Nyan which attracts about 1.6 million viewers
