Bonang And Minnie To Host Durban July Redcarpet Live Coverage

In an official press release, SABC3 has announced its lineup of presenters for their live red carpet broadcast at the Durban July. The  broadcast on Saturday, 6 July will start at 14:30 with a live 30 minute red carpet round up; this live broadcast will feature celebrity interviews, fashion and thoroughbred action on the Greyville racetrack.

Anchored by Bonang Matheba on the Vodacom VIP Paddock red carpet overlooking the home straight, the broadcast will also have Vaylen Kirtley as the main racing anchor with Minnie Dlamini and Mika Stefano presenting from various vantage points at the race track. With regular crossings to the action trackside, this trio interview celebrities and guests and present a roundup of all fashion highs and lows from the exclusive Vodacom VIP Paddock.

Preceding the full race broadcast, the red carpet roundup will take viewers into the heart of the glitz and glam of the Vodacom Durban July with Dlamini and Stefano on the ground covering all the glamour of the 2013 theme, Posh, Oh My Gosh. 

Kirtley will bring viewers the best in thoroughbred trainers, former jockey’s, views on the latest betting’s, the anticipation of the final race and will also link to the lifestyle presenters.

We have assembled a stunning ensemble of presenters led by It girl Bonang and they will take viewers behind the scenes of Africa’s greatest and most glamorous horseracing event,” added SABC3's marketing manager, Risuna Mayimele.

The Vodacom Durban July takes place on Saturday, 6 July and will be broadcast from 14:30 to 17:00 on SABC3.
