SABC NEWS Channel Debuts on Aug 1st

SABC's new 24-hour news channel finally starts on 1 August, on DStv channel 404, in all 11 languages. The channel is said to feature a lot of news content that has already aired on the SABC's 3 channels but will also add some new shows that are not available on those channels. 

Much of the news coverage will be simulcast on the channel and its other channels. 

The new shows that will launch with the channel's debut are;

•  Newsrooms LIVE  will be rolling coverage, commentary and reaction on the day's stories making headlines

• Question Time will offer interviews with newsmakers about topics & stories in the news in SA, Africa and the rest of the world. 

• Kaleidoscope will be focusing on arts, culture, lifestyle, travel and entertainment news.

• Sports Live will be broadcast daily, covering the day's sports news with studio guests and live crossings

• Media Monitor will focus on the news behind the media industry! Advertising, marketing, media influence, etc!
