SABC's Spring Line Up

Yesterday I attended the press screening for all three of the SABC's television channel. The event was attended by some of the channels' personalities and executives. With throngs of industry journos and the industry "suits" it was easy to miss tv faces like Isidingo star Kgomotso Christopher, Tshepo Mosese, Aaron Moloisi and others.

While on tv faces, Kgomotso is such a stunning lady but she really needs to work on being more sociable. Everybody was chatting and mingling and the gorgeous Mrs Christopher was sitting there posing like a doll.

On the serious matters of the day ...

SABC1 revealed that its upcoming shows include the brand-new season of the popular dance show, So You Think You Can Dance. The gay lifestyle drama series, After Nine, is also coming back for a new season, as well as Bar One Man Hunt. which is something we already knew... well atleast I did and have shared that info with you guys here.

The channel has also added new shows like: Single Guys (comedy); Vuka Kleva (docu-reality); Smovana (reality series on cars) with Skeem Saam and In Debt returning both returning for a second season respectively.

The shocker came in the form of Hola Mpinji's move from SABC 2 to 1. Yeah they are going to be repeating the show!

An anouncement was made that soapie Generations will be celebrating its 20th year on screen. The channel will commemorate this milestone with a Generations Special in September, incorporating distinctive episodes from previous seasons.

Regarding SABC2’s line-up, Jam Sandwich continues third season, Afro Cafe its ninth season, In Plain Sight (Season 6), 50/50 (Season 5), Big Break Legacy (Season 2), and  Ga Re Dumele, 90 Plein Street and I want to sing Gospel also return to the channel.

SABC3 will offer the 17th season of The Amazing Race, as well as the second seasons of the popular local productions, Centrum Guardians and Ultimate Braai Master.

The channel will also add few international shows which are; Brothers & Sisters, Top Gear USA (Season 2), The Exes (Season 2), Big Bang Theory (Season 4), Desperate Housewives (Season 5), Rules of Engagement (Season 6), Supernatural (Season 7) and Two & a Half Men (Season 8).

All in all there were no new major revelations at the showcase just confirmation of what we already know and the same shows making a return.
