Kerry Hilson To Perform At The Macufe Festival 2013

American singer Keri Hilson will be heading to SA for the Macufe Music Festival. She made the announcement via a tweet posted on 30th July 2013 at 21h30. Miss Kerry Baby will be heading to our shores in October

This will not be the "Knock You Down" singer's first time in Mzansi or the African continent.

In 2009 she was on tour in South Africa with John Legend.

She returned and performed with Brandy for South Africa's Sports Minister's 40th birthday party on October 29, 2011 in Centurion.

She also performed in Ivory Coast in 2011 at the Palais de la Culture d’Abidjan for about 4,000 people.

On her visit to South Africa in 2011 in an interview with Cleo Magazine when asked if she had any plans for returning to the country anytime soon she said;

“Absolutely. I had the best time! I can’t wait to come back to South Africa.”

When the mag asked about the highlight of her trip here she was quoted;

“Oh, we did so many things. We flew over Cape Town in a helicopter and saw whales, we had lunch at the top of Table Mountain – and we’re all afraid of heights! We went to Robben Island and saw Mandela’s cell and I got to hold the key and unlock his cell. But I think the best thing for me was the fans. I’m so thankful to John Legend for bringing me there. I really didn’t know what to expect or if you even knew my music but the crowd sang all the words to my songs and it was amazing.”

The 2013 Macufe Festival will take place from the 04th to 13th of October 2013.
