Orlando Bloom Is South African

Well sort of ... The star of the movie "ZULU", set in South Africa based on the book of the same title written by Caryl Férey which won the 2008 Grand Prix de Littérature Policière and several other literary awards, has some family connection to South Africa. Turns out the Kent born actor's father was South African. Wait, there's more ...

OK, so the story goes; During Orlando Bloom’s childhood, he was told that his father, Harry Saul Bloom, was his mother’s husband – a Jewish South African-born anti-Apartheid novelist.

Nine years after Harry’s death, Orlando learned at age 13 that his biological father was actually Colin Stone, a family friend, who became Orlando’s legal guardian.

So he can be considered South African for 13 years at least... Right?! Ok fine the Brits can keep him.
