R.Kelly To Perform At Unite For Madiba Concert

Clearly American RnB star R.Kelly has caught some serious Mzansi fever. Contrary to some of the reports about our crime and xenophobia tendencies we are really a hospitable nation, especially if you are a has-been American star. Hell ... even just a random American gets the red carpet treatment from us because of that accent.

On a serious note though, R.Kelly has generously agreed to extend his stay in the country so that he can perform at the Unite For Mandela concert happening at FNB Stadium on the 17th of August.

This comes just days after Kels wrapped his Single Ladies tour of Mzansi.

South Africans have really shown the man some love and he is giving back. He has visited South Africa twice before – for Africa Fashion Week in 2009 and then for the opening ceremony of the 2010 World Cup.
“I feel so much love from the South African audience, I love being here… it feels like people really appreciate my music and we have a great time at the shows,” Kelly told The Mercury last week Wednesday .
If you missed R.Kelly in concert then make sure you are at the FNB stadium on the 17 th when Kelly will join a host of local talent such as Mafikizolo, Toya Delazy, Black Coffee and Zahara for the Unite For Mandela concert, which form part of the day's activities that include a soccer and rugby match.

Tickets for the Unite For Mandela Sport and Culture Day celebration at FNB Stadium are available at Computicket priced at R220 - R550.
