Beyonce Wears R100mil Jewels And R14 000 Stockings At The Grammys

A lot of people are talking about Beyonce's striptease performance at the Grammys this weekend. The "Drunk In Love" star was joined on stage by her hubby Jay Z to perform the duet but it was her stockings that had fashion lovers buzzing all over the world. I am even told that they are not stocking but actually tights. But what do I know about hosiery?

Pre-chair humping in a thong with her a butt revealed for all to ogle and envy, Beyonce dazzled on the red carpet in a lace Michael Costello gown which she teamed with millions of dollars worth of diamonds from jewellery designer Jessica Schwartz's collection.

The hot MILF accessorised her white lace gown with chandelier earrings and statement cocktail rings on each finger of her right hand. On her left hand she added just one diamond-shaped cocktail ring to go with her 18-carat engagement ring. 

The bling was estimated at a whopping $10 million, which is roughly R100 mil, if the rand keeps declining in value as it is now, it could actually be more. 

However, it is the "stockings" and their staggering prize tag that caught my attention.

After the red carpet, while performing with her hubby Jay-Z, she flirted with the audience in a racy combination of bondage and bodysuit, the glitzy bra and of course those "'tights''.

The R14 000 tights were a Saint Laurent design, embellished with Swarovski crystals. They were first seen in celebrityville worn by supermodel Kate Moss before finding a new home on Kylie Minogue and now Beyonce.

Call them tights, or if you are like me they are stocking to you, it is amazing that women are willing to pay 14k for them. 

While Beyonce may not have had to pay for all that bling, stars get borrowed items to wear on the red carpet in Hollywood, she was one hot and expensive momma on Sunday.
