How Much Was Reeva Steenkamp's Life Worth?

If recent media reports are to be believed, Reeva's life was worth around R2m to R3m. This estimated figure comes after rumours that the late model's parents are in "sensitive talks" with Oscar Pistorius over compensation for the death of their daughter. 

The "compensation talk" story gained credence after Beeld reported on Wednesday that the lawyer representing Barry and June Steenkamp told the Afrikaans paper that negotiations were under-way but still at a sensitive  stage. He is reported to have added that he did not want to comment further. 

The paper further reports that Advocate Dup De Bruyn declined to comment on the amount that is being negotiated. 

Apparently Steenkamp's parents are seeking compensation because their late daughter had been supporting them financially, and they fell on hard times after her death. It is reported that the couple can no longer afford the rental on their Port Elizabeth home. 

Oscar Pistorious shot and killed Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day in 2013 at his home. Pistorius claimed that he thought Steenkamp was an intruder. He is currently out on bail and will appear in court in March this year. 

The question now become; how will this affect the case against Oscar Pistorious for killing Reeva come March?
