Model Masego Maps Maponyane Joins Rockville Season 2

Yep, you are not misreading that title. According to a press release from Mzansi Magic, Mr WeChat and current "it" boy, Maps, will be part of the new cast of the hugely popular drama Rockville, come February when the show airs its second season. 

Maps will play a character of TK. Like some of my colleagues in the business I gasped a bit when I saw Maps' name on the list of new faces for the show. 

Needless to say a lot of viewers will be looking at him to deliver. Rockville set the bar very high with its first season, therefore fans of the show expect the second season to be on par or at least surpass the excellence of the previous season. 

“The high calibre of acting talent that is joining the already acclaimed cast is testament to the show’s impact within the acting community of Mzansi,” says M-Net Director: Local Interest Channels, Yolisa Phahle.  

If Pearl Thusi can do it all, I guess Maps deserves a chance to prove himself too.
