ETV Nabs 10 SAFTA Nods

When nominations for the South African Film and Televesion Awards were announced on Wednesday 5th March in Johannesburg, South Africa's free to air channel, Etv, had a lot to celebrate. The channel nabbed 10 nominations in various SAFTA award categories.   

The SAFTAs were established in 2005 to honour and celebrate excellence of South African Film and Television talent and productions. e.tv’s flagship soapies, Rhythm City and Scandal, as well as eNCA’s satirical show, LNN received a total of 10 nominations across nine categories. 

The nominees were chosen out of 432 entries received by the judging panel.

It’s humbling to see that our talented stars are being acknowledged for their hard work and dedication to their particular craft. We wish them all the best at the awards ceremony, and beyond. The South African Film & Television Awards (SAFTAS), now in its 8th year, will be held on 4 and 5 April at Gallagher Estate in Midrand.
