Come Dine With Me South Africa CANCELLED
Imagine my shock when I heard from Rapid Blue that the hugely popular and one of my favourite shows in recent years, Come Dine With Me South Africa, is no more. Yes my fellow South Africans, no more shall we see those black South Africans with weird accents, the eccentric Afrikaner tannies and effeminate straight Indians guys showcasing our beautiful rainbow nation's culinary prowess.
The show that introduced us to Puleng Mash-Spies, The Queen Of Dainfern, will not be returning for another season.
Do not despair though, word from BBC Worldwide is that while they are done with co-producing local versions for Mzansi, they are looking to create a new format show to adapt for South African viewers.

Come Dine With Me SA won't see a 4th season , the last three having being exceptionally produced locally by Rapid Blue, with the format belonging to ITV Studios.
"Come Dine With Me South Africa was a huge hit for BBC Entertainment and we are very proud of the series,"
"We feel the time is right to take this experience and seek new opportunities for a fresh, innovative local format for audiences to enjoy. We are committed to investing in the very best quality programming for our channels and are actively looking at all opportunities," says Joel Churcher, the vice president and general manager Africa for BBC Worldwide.
Come Dine With Me (the British version) still continues on BBC Lifestyle and BBC Entertainment.
It is sad to see the \Come Dine With Me SA go. Congratulations to Rapid Blue for having done an excellent job producing the series in Mzansi.
