E! Orders Its First Scripted Series Centered Around British Mornachy

E!, the channel that popularized reality shows and made The Kardashians superstars, is now getting into the scripted game with a series centered on British royalty. For this bold step they are bringing in some big British clout, in the form of former movie star, Liz Hurley ... ok may she doesn't have that much clout anymore but hey, she played a hot devil, so she gets a pass. 

The Royals, from One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwann, is an hour long drama about a fictional royal family living in modern day London. The leader of the family is Queen Helena, played by Elizabeth Hurley, who will protect her family's image by any means necessary.

Vincent Regan, William Moseley, Alexandra Park, Tom Austen, Jake Maskall, Ukweli Roach and Oliver Milburn round out the ensemble drama.
