Pallance Dladla To Replace Lungile Radu On Rhythm City
Lungile Radu has played S’bu Vilakazi since the soapie’s inception.
“It has been a pleasure working with Lungile Radu. We wish him well in his future endeavours. We also welcome Pallance to the family and we are confident that the viewers will love him. Sbu’s character is at the heart of the storyline and is loved by many loyal Rhythm City viewers,” says Group Head: e.tv Channels Division, Monde Twala.
S’bu, the charming, energetic son of Miles Vilakazi decided to take a break and go on a boat cruise with his fling Lola. He has always been a hustler with ambitions to make it big as a businessman.
He comes back from his boat cruise as a surprise guest of honour at his father’s 60th birthday celebration. This is just in the nick of time to support his family that is facing trauma, a terminal illness and an agonising sexual abuse situation.
“I'm very excited about the journey I’m about to embark on with the actors that I’ll be working with. At the same time, I'm also curious about the storyline. I aim to bring a voice for the young men out there who are trying to stand on their own two feet,” says actor, Pallance Dladla.
“Quizzical Pictures discovered Pallance through Class Act and we are delighted to have him work with us on Rhythm City,” says Executive Producer, Harriet Gavshon.
Pallance Dlala won a SAFTA award for best supporting actor in 2012.
Catch Rhythm City at 6:30PM, Mondays to Fridays and Pallance's debut on Tuesday 29 July 2014.
