Trey Songz And Miguel To Perform At The MAMAs In Durban

MTV Base has revealed that Grammy-nominated international R&B star Trey Songz will be joining an electrifying entertainment line-up at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2014 alongside R&B superstar Miguel, French Montana, Nigerian sensations Davido, Flavour and Tiwa Savage, and South Africans Mafikizolo, Uhuru, Oskido and Professor.

The ceremony for the  MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) will take in KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC). 

The glittering event will be broadcast around the world on MTV, MTV Base, BET International and affiliate stations. 

Film and television star Marlon Wayans will host the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards. 

“I’m excited to finally be going back to Durban. I went once just for a day but this time I’m spending more time to get to know the people and the culture. I can’t wait to perform at the awards show, especially since it’s live for the first time ever. It’s going to be amazing to feel the energy when I’m on that stage and see some of the best talent that Africa has to offer.” said Trey Songz

Of his involvement in this auspicious event on our continent, Miguel said;

“What I love most about Africa is the people and the spirit there. What makes me most proud to be involved in the MAMA is the feeling that my music has reached further than I imagined it could…it’s inspiring.”

The MAMAs are brought to you by KwaZulu-Natal Province and supported by Absolut Vodka, the City of Durban and South Africa Tourism.
