Limpopo TV Channel Launch Delayed
VeeTV, a Limpopo-based free-to-air channel which was to be on OpenView HD and broadcast a wide range of current affairs, entertainment and educational programmes, did not go on air on 2 June 2014, as promised
According to reported sources, the delay in launching the channel is due to financial difficulties but management refutes this.
It has also been reported that investors had not put in the money they had promised the business.
According to the head of the operation, Wanga Ramakhanya, there is no money issue. He is reported to have said;
"the staff would be paid this week and that the channel has not yet gone live because of technical difficulties relating to a shortage of fibre optics experienced by their suppliers in Cape Town.
If and when the channel is ready to go on air, you can catch it on Openview joining the likes of Alex TV and Ekhuruleni TV.
