Flying Fish Adds Some Flavour To The Durban July Festivities
To officially kick off the Durban July weekend, Flying Fish Premium Flavoured Beer hosted a star-studded dinner under the Durban stars at the Swanky Coastlands Hotel in Durban. Inspired by the combination of fine dinning and flavoured beer the three course meal showcased how SAB’s youngest brand always adds flavour to everyday experiences.
“ The fusion of fine dining and beer is something that we really love at Flying Fish as it often adds a touch of flavour to an occasion which was not traditionally associated with beer. So in keeping with our brand ethos of adding flavour we invited some of Mzansi’s most flavoursome personalities for a bespoke evening and the official start of the Durban July.” Said Qhawekazi Mdikane Flying Fish Marketing Manager.
The 3-course meal consisted of a fabulous starter of Smoked Chicken Waldorf with mixed garden greens served with grapefruit segments and a vegetarian fashion sandwich with honey yoghurt.
The mouth watering main course consisted of an option between a Karoo rack of lamb served with pesto mash, sautéed seasonal vegetables and a rich citrus thyme jus and a grana padana biscuit or Pan seared catch of the day served on chateaux potato with butternut puree and salsa verde topped with black tigers.
The dinner was rounded off with a decadent Trio of desserts including white chocolate cheesecake, caramel mouse, mango Brule with a fresh fruit coulis and of course Flying Fish Premium Flavoured was the drink of choice.
“ This idea of Food and Beer pairing has always been a fascinating one and Flying Fish always seem to deliver exceptionally on this each time they host such events. The food gets better, the company is always amazing and what an awesome way to start a betting filled weekend.” Commented television personality Maps Maponyane.
