Metro FM Boss Steps Down

Metro FM station manager Martin Vilakazi has parted ways with the commercial SABC radio station after three years at the helm. The SABC confirmed yesterday that Vilakazi's contract was not renewed.

SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago today confirmed that Vilakazi was last week informed that the relationship would end and given an option to leave early.
“It was an amicable agreement that he will leave early and be paid up for the month,” said Kganyago.
City Press reports that Kganyago dismissed talk that Vilakazi was escorted out of the SABC Radio Park building earlier today.
“People just want to create drama around it. But he was told last week already that he would work until today, why would he be treated like that?” said Kganyago
A message on Vilakazi's  Facebook account read:
“Salute! It’s time to go! Thank you friends!” His friends congratulated and wished him well."
Dare I ask; what the heck is going on at Metro lately?!
