Comedian Robby Collins Joins Rhythm City

Lanky framed comedian Robby Collins has finally nabbed an acting gig of etv's primetime youth soap Rhythm City. The two times Comic Choice Awards nominee will be playing bad-ass Rocky on the show.

This will be the comedian's third time appearing on the free-to-air channel. He  had a small role in an episode of Scandal playing a comedian and has also been featured on a lot of sketches on Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola.

Collins started his career by entering a stand-up comedy competition in his home town of Durban in 2008 and hasn’t looked back.

Collins auditioned for the role in the beginning of June and he describes the character " very streetsmart. He is friendly but, at the same time, he could break your arm. It is very tricky; you never know what could piss him off. Most of the time, he has his guard up. There is a soft side but it is only with people he trusts.”

Robby Collins debuts as "Rocky" on e.tv’s Rhythm City on Monday September 1 at 18h30
