Generations Star Calls Sunday World Individual Salary Exposè Lies

Tabloid newspaper Sunday World has revealed the individual salaries of Generations' principal cast. This comes after Generations producers revealed at a press conference on Thursday that the principal cast earn on average R55000 per month.

The paper claims that these are the salary figures of the stars;
  • Anga Makubalo (MJ), Zenande Mfenyana (Noluntu) and Mandla Gaduka (Choppa) earn an average R5500 and R8000 a week.
  • Sophie Ndaba (Queen) earns R17 000 per week and wants R30 000 per week.
  • Thami Mngqolo (Senzo), Katlego Danke (Dineo). Winnie Modise (Khethiwe) get R11000 and R13000 per week...demanding R20 000 per week.
  • Zolisa Xaluva (Jason), Slindile Nodangala (Ruby) and Thato Molamu (Nicholas) earn R9000 and R11000 per week...demanding R16000 per week.
The paper also claims that actors ask that the salaries of Anga, Mandla and Zenande be increased to R12000 per week

Zenande Mfenyana who plays Noluntu on the show and is one of the striking stars who were fired, was the first to respond to a tweet by entertainment reporter Gabi Mbele about the Sunday World story.

The star simply tweeted "Lies" accompanied with an angry emoticon.

Dismissed Generations cast and their representative will be holding their own press conference on Monday. Let us hope they will give the numbers and finally clear all this misinformation and confusion.

The burning questions to the actors pertaining the issue of salaries  right now are;

How much are you earning?
How much do you want?
How much does Generations make in profits?

Answering these questions will put some perspective onto the actors demands. We wait for Monday ...
