Generations Head Writer QUITS

Head script writer for the beleaguered SABC soapie Generations has called it quits. Word is that Bongi Ndaba is not part of the team that is supposedly rewriting the new Generations without the 16 fired actors as she tendered her resignation this month. 

Bongi Ndaba became head writer in mid 2012 and had been with the show for 8 years. She gave no reason for her sudden resignation but told Drum magazine;

“I’m not ready to divulge the reasons for my resignation,”   

“I’m leaving and and it’s not to join another company”.

Many of us in the business had wondered what Ndaba's future at Generations would be following the firing of the 16 principal actors. 

It is a well known murmur that Ndaba was instrumental in some of the actors becoming part of the show to begin with. 

Thato Molamu who played Nicholas in the soap is the father of Bongi Ndaba's 4 year old son and is co-incidentally also one of the 16 actors who got fired from Generations.

Ndaba 's resignation follows the departure of the show's publicist Nyagunda Ngwenya who left the show few months ago.
