Minnie Dlamini To Release A Calendar

Pictures of SABC1 presenter Minnie Dlamni doing a photo-shoot around Durban did the rounds early this year and led to some few speculations about what the sports presenter's shoot was for. Minnie has been mum about the details but the cat is finally out of the bag. Minnie is coming out with a calendar in November!

The KZN beauty is set to release her very own calendar for 2015. That is 12 months of hot Minnie pics that her fans can ogle on everyday on their desktops or walls.

The TV personality spent the past three months shhoting for the calendar around Kwazulu Natal's landmarks such as the Moses Mabhida Stadium and uShaka Marine, including the township of KwaMashu. 

Some of the proceed derived from the sales of the calendar will benefit the star's charity organisation The Minnie Dlamini Foundation. The organisation is said to assist schoolgirls with clothing, stationary and food.  

Celebrity calendars are not a common thing in Mzansi so this could be a ground breaking move for Minnie. The last time a South African celebrity had a succesful calendar was Zandi Nhlapo. 

The industry has changed since then and sales of magazines and anything hardcopy have declined drastically. If a big print brands like FHM and O Magazine can be cancelled due to low sales, one wonders if a celebrity calendar would find willing consumers in this digital age. 

 Minnie's calendar goes on sale nationwide on November 20th.
