Naija Model ILLRymz Replaces Lawrence Maleka As New Co-Host Of Star Gist

Nigerian television host, model and radio personality, Olowu Bardia Adebola, popularly known as ILLRymz, has been announced as the co-host for Star Gist, Africa’s premier entertainment and showbiz programme which airs on Africa Magic Showcase. ILLRymz replaces South African presenter Lawrence Maleka, who controversially got beat by Lunga Tshabalala to host Selimathunzi and went on to host shows on Soweto TV before joining Star Gist. 

The show which was previously based in South Africa will also henceforth air from Nigeria. Zimbabwean star and former Big Brother Africa housemate, Vimbai Mutinhiri remains on the show. 

StarGist, which gives viewers a daily dose of exclusive star profiles, behind-the-scenes features, and continental and international headlines, will now have ILLRymz co-host the show alongside Vimbai.

Keeps Her Job: Vimbai

Explaining the choice of ILLRymz as co-host, the Regional Director, M-Net (West), Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, said:

ILLRymz has an established presence on the African entertainment scene and is a perfect fit for co-hosting the show with Vimbai. Star Gist features the best of daily African entertainment news and exciting programme segments. Fashion enthusiasts can also watch red carpet events, whilst also getting the details on who wore what and where.
