Tourism KZN Wants YOU To Get Involved In Its September Programme

September is Tourism Month and this year Tourism KwaZulu-Natal is calling on everyone in the province to show their support by wearing a yellow t-shirt every Friday for the month. Yeah I know this post is a little late but I have been offline so if you did not know you still have tomorrow and next week to participate.

“Tourism is everybody’s business, because we are all ambassadors for our destination,” said Ndabo Khoza, CEO for Tourism KwaZulu-Natal.

“We want to get the whole province behind tourism, to remind them that every single one of us has a role to play in ensuring tourists and visitors to our destination have a great stay, and to make sure they return again and again.”

Coupled with the t-shirt campaign is a drive for people in the province to rediscover the wonders of KwaZulu-Natal.

“Part of our Tourism Month programme encourages people to get out and explore our beautiful province. Whether it’s a quick weekend break, a fun day trip, or perhaps an extended stay around Heritage Day, we want people to re-charge in KwaZulu-Natal.

“Linked with this are a host of events that are being held around the province, which is sure to get people up and travelling through the region,” said Khoza.

In addition there are activations happening for Tourism Month (September) such as;

·         TKZN “recharge” campaign which encourages the public of KZN to go out and be a tourist in their province, and “recharge” those batteries with the Hashtag #GottaLuvKZN

·         There are fun shopping malls activations around the province, which include  live broadcasts from a local radio stations (Gagasi FM, East Coast Radio and Ukhozi FM).

·         Every Friday on Expresso (SABC 3) we have an insert on tourism month from KZN.

Show your province some love!!
