Davido Nominated For A 2014 Soul Train Award | The Only African Artist Nominated For 'Best International"

With the global attention on D'Banj and Wizkid, one would be forgiven for overlooking another Naija superstar Davido — but not for long as he is certainly making waves all over the continent and now the world. 2014 Soul Train Awards nominees were announced this week in the US and  Davido  was the only artist from the African continent nominated. 

Nominated for his hit single ‘Aye’, released earlier in the year, Davido is up against Machel Montano, Nico & Vinz, Sam Smith, Shaggy and Ziggy Marley for the ‘Best International Performance’ category.

Davido (tied to Mafikizolo) also topped the list of nominees with 6 nods for the 2014 All Africa Music Awards few weeks ago — the ceremony is on the 9th Of November 2014

I have not met the guy personally but I have it on good authority that he is not as pompous as his other fellow Naija superstars, which makes his success all the more inspiring.  

Let's all wish him well on the big night which will be on Sunday, November 30. The ceremony  will be hosted by talkshow host , Wendy Williams.
