D'Banj Named African Ambassador For Beats By Dre

D’banj has certainly made his mark in the continent and the world at large as a bona fide musical superstar. Though the Naija muso has not had a hit song for a minute, he has being commanding some major respect from the industry and Hollywood money spinners are also noticing his brand power and influence. 

D’banj was at the TedxWBG conference held this week at Preston Auditorium, Washington USA.

He was in the US at this conference in his capacity as the UN Ambassador for Peace. He was also one of the keynote speakers.

The coference, under the theme of “Ending Poverty“ is held to tackle the challenge of ending poverty with courage, ingenuity, vision and purpose.

TEDxWBG brought together thinkers and leaders from the worlds of business, art, and technology to share experiences and ideas on reaching this goal of eradicating poverty in the world.

While in the USA, D'banj was announced by Beats by Dre as the official African ambassador. The brand also congratulated the Nigerian singer on achieving 10 years in the music industry.

D’banj was given his very own custom studio wireless Beats by Dre headphones which will be officially launched in December 2014.
