Siyabonga Radebe To Host Kasi Cribs On eKasi+ | NEW SHOW

So you have driven past that house ekasi and wondered who lives there and how it looks inside, well ... Openview HD got you covered with a new show called Kasi Cribs hosted by Idris Elba's sidekick Mr Siyabonga Radebe.

While the comparison between this show and the American MTV show Cribs is unavoidable, Kasi Cribs is not necessarily about glamorous homes. So, do not expect to be seeing some sprawling mansions, though some nice homes will be featured on the show as well.

From what I gathered watching the preview of the show at the etv summer press preview, it is more about exploring how people in the townships live — in any type of home. 

Siyabonga Radebe, I knew him way back when he was still SiyaB the comedian ... I don't know if he still calls himself that, made his television debut opposite Thomas Gumede on the SABC1 show called "A Place Called Home" and has since carved himself a career as a prolific actor.

He holds a National Diploma in Drama from the Durban University of Technology, and has also appeared in a number of theatre productions including Blacks Like Me (directed by Aldo Brincat), Closer (directed by Sello Maake Ka-Ncube) and Grin and Bear It, directed by Tim Plewman.

The star of international and local films such as "District 9" and Mzansi's very first commercially successful black rom-com "Between Friends", Siyabonga has solidified his place in this business as a bankable star.

No surprise that when the producers were looking for someone who has a mass audience appeal but still connected to the common man, Siya B was chosen. 

Radebe is currently touring South Africa with British actor, Idris Elba as ambassadors of Oude Meester.
