Being Fired From Generations Was A Blessing | Says Former Soap Star

Former Generations star Zenande Mfenyana, who played "Noluntu" on the show, is beaming with pride after managing to keep her career afloat following her firing from South Africa's biggest television show. Much like some of her fired colleague, Mfenyana seems to have bounced back with a bang. 

The 30 year old will be gracing the cover of True Love in January. In it the star opens up about her feeling towards being fired from the show and says that leaving the show was somewhat of a blessing as not having to work 12 hours a day has given her time to pursue other opportunities. 

No doubt being on Generations raised Mfenyana's profile immensely and this Joburger seems to have used her platform as a celebrity and being on a hit show wisely. 

Admirably Mfenyana stayed away from being a media fodder but focus her high profile in carving a solid name for herself as an actress, voice-over artist and businesswoman. 

She is currently the ambassodor of Chelline, a UK-based fashion and beauty online store. 

After a guest appearance on Gareth Cliff's online radio station Cliff Central, the actress was asked back to host a show. How's that for making a good impression? She now hosts "Ladies Round Table" on the station. 

However, what has impressed me the most is the star's financial and business savvy. She reportedly has invested into a Forex account and has a dedicated person trading offshore shares for her. 

Even during her Generations days the star was open about her avidity to safe money. She is clearly one of those people in this business who understand that financial security in this industry is not guaranteed. 

And boy did that serve her well! No-one could have foreseen the drama that befell Generations this year and suddenly she was out of work but has been able to pay her bills because of her saving. 

I have never met Zenande officially except just spotting her at events over the years but she seems like someone who has her head screwed right. She is definitely someone to look up to for those who have any interest in joining this industry.
