Hlubi Mboya Joins Etv Soap

Yep read it here first... Former Isidingo star Hlubi Mboya is returning to soapies after a 4 year hiatus from the world of soapies. I can exclusively reveal that the 36 year old actress will soon be appearing on etv's Rhythm City.

Mboya left Isidingo after playing the role Nandipha for over a decade — a role she replaced Generations The Legacy star Manaka Ranaka on after Manaka was controversially fired when she fell pregnant.

Mboya won the hearts of Isidingo fans and the nation. She subsequently became on of the most recognizable stars in Mzansi and her role as the HIV positive tenacious Nandipha still remains one of South African television's groundbreaking tv characters of all time.

Since leaving Isidingo Mboya has had a remarkable transformation. She shocked most of her fans when she appeared on Noeleen's 3Talk recently and looked very buff. On the show she revealed her passion for fitness and her goals to be a competitive bodybuilder.

She has been working too. Mboya appeared in films such as "How To Steal 2 Million" with Terry Pheto and the critically acclaimed "iNumber Number" opposite Sdumo Mtshali.

The petite stunner, who conquered Mount Kilimanjaro as part of a women empowerment initiative and is a bit of an over achiever, started shooting on Rhythm City in late October/early November.

Hlubi Mboya will be playing Thandeka, a formidable businesswoman who will be a game changer in the show.

Rhythm City airs weekdays at 18h30 on etv
