Limpopo To Host Its Own Entertainment Awards — Nominees Announced

The Films, Arts, Music and Entertainment SA Awards announced the nominees for the inaugural Limpopo entertainment Awards recently. The main event for the awards will be held on Saturday, 9 May at the University of Limpopo (Former Tufloop).

The inaugural FAME award recognizes outstanding achievement in all fields of entertainment from traditional Music, Film and artistry offered by sons and daughters hailing from the North. The ceremony promises a spectacular show with surprises and live performances from various artists including House star ChymaMusique, Candy Tsamandebele, Maduvha, Hip Hop Stars Mizo Phyll and Mopedy, Winnie Mashaba, Colbert Mukwevho, Fiesta Black, to name just a few.

The CEO of F.A.M.E Awards Mr Matodzi Makananisa, said 

 

“its refreshing and equally exciting to launch these awards to the industry at large, with an overwhelming number of entries and support from television shows, record companies, film production and art practitioners; we promise to dazzle the Limpopo Province with a red carpet event full of theatrics and amicable class of entertainment.”

A diverse range of categories has been penned and these include the Music, Film and Television, Radio, Comedy, Sports, and Special Categories. 

 

The public is encouraged to vote for their favourite artists via an SMS line - they can SMS the number of their favourite nominee to 47052.

Winners will walk away with cash prizes as per sponsored category.

In addition to all the nominations, the F.A.M.E adjudication team will award a legendary personality and this moment will be presided by stakeholders from the Limpopo Government represented by Honourable Premier Stanley Mathabatha and MEC Sports, Arts and Culture Nandi Ndalane. The F.A.M.E SA Awards 2015 are brought to you by the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture.
