Maps Maponyane Cast In SABC Telenovela

Model-turned-actor Masego Maponyane has had quite a meteoric rise in Mzansi's entertainment industry. You could have been forgiven 2 years ago for asking; What exactly does this guy do? What's his claim to fame? Well Maps is on a mission to change that and is currently carving himself a career as a bonafide actor. 

SABC3 has renewed its primetime show, High Rollers, for a second season and in turn expanded it into a telenovela. The show will now be aired on the channel 3 times a week, that is Monday to Wednesday.

Perhaps in an attempt to get some publicity for the show [I always doubt the ratings pull of these celebs] or maybe he was just the best guy who auditioned for the role, lets not take that away from the guy, Maps was cast along with a host of what the producers describe as "a host of South Africa’s best acting talent to look forward to in season 2"

Maponyane will be playing  Thabang, a technological whizz-kid using his talents to rip the casino off.Thabang’s adrenaline hungry girlfriend Bonnie will be played by Khanya Mkangisa.

I have yet to see Maps act so I can not comment on his acting prowess, so I will watch with you guys and see how he holds his own alongside formidable and legendary actors such as Brumilda Van Rensberg, Xolile Shabalala, Fezile Mpela and Terence Bridgett.
