CELESTE NTULI SET TO BRING THE ROOF DOWN AT GOLD REEF CITY
Gold Reef City is gearing up for a comedy feast to remember, featuring South African Film and Television Award and Royalty Soapie Award nominee, Celeste Ntuli at The Lyric on Friday, 28 August 2015 when she performs her popular stand-up show, Home Affairs 2.
“Celeste is a seasoned comedienne who has broken many of the barriers that women in comedy face today,” says Gold Reef City Marketing Manager, Gareth Kaschula.
“Having her perform at The Lyric as we wrap up Women’s Month is an apt treat for our guests.”
Celeste is known as the queen of Zulu comedy and is the first ever local female comic to record a one-woman-show DVD. Seriously Celeste is a collection of her performances across the country.
Known for portraying the role of Siphokazi MaMthembu Zungu on Mzansi Magic’s Isibaya, Celeste attributes her success to having no holy cows – stereotypes, relationships and social issues – no subject is taboo as far as she is concerned.
“As a full-time stand-up comedian, we have no doubt that Celeste has the ability to make audiences laugh out loud as she has gained great experiences and graced big stages,” says Kaschula.
“Tickets are set to sell out quickly, so we encourage our guests to get them early for the show which is set to start at 8.30pm,” he concludes.
Tickets are available from Computicket and Gold Reef City’s Box Office from R150.
