[JOBS] eNCA is Looking for a Writer

South Africa's number one 24-hour news channel, eNCA, is looking for a writer to join the channel. 

Duties

• Monitor wire services and news feeds for the latest local and international news
• Write and produce news stories in a variety of formats
• Write news crawlers and news boards
• Turn soundbytes from studio interviews
• Set up guests to be interviewed during the various bulletins
• Assist in crafting intros and cues for anchors in studio

Requirements
• Journalism qualification
• At least three years journalism experience, preferably in broadcasting
• Excellent writing skills
• Good editorial judgement and interpretational skills
• An exceptional grasp of current affairs
• Wide-ranging general knowledge
• Excellent command of the English language
• Must be meticulous, accurate and passionate
• Video editing skills and/or ability to voice news inserts a distinct advantage
• Ability to work under pressure to meet regular deadlines
