Top Actor SA Winner To Host New BET Gossip Show

BET in South Africa will be launching a new gossip and entertainment news in soon. The show, styled in a similar format such as Vuzu's V-Entertainment, SABC's Real Goboza and Etv's Hush, will be hosted by Altovise Lawrence and Tarmarsha Khanyile. 

The local showbiz, gossip and entertainment TV news game is a little stale at the moment with all the shows across the channels pretty much doing the same thing. VEntertainment on Vuzu seems to be the only show in that genre that stands out due to its high production quality and superb presentation. 

The Buzz, as the BET show will be called, will have to pull in some big punches if they are to become competitive and/or stand out of the fray. The show wins on point, which etv's HUSH failed dismally on, they are bringing in new faces to host. 

We have seen that having celebs report on celebs hasn't worked much in South Africa as the celebrity pool in the industry is small. Tarmasha Khanyile is a singer and radio Dj who is unknown to most SA tv viewers and Altovise just won the talent search reality show, Top Actors SA, earlier this year. She too is relatively unknown in the business. 

BET'S The Buzz (DSTV 129) will start on 1 September at 19:00 and on BET 2 (DSTV 135) at 19:50 on weekdays with an omnibus on Saturdays at 19:40 on BET and 20:40 on BET 2.
