PRESS RELEASE:An exciting opportunity to enter the fold of whisky connoisseurs presents itself to whisky-lovers visiting The Glenlivet stand at this year’s Whisky Live Festival in Johannesburg in November.

The largest, liveliest event of its kind in South Africa, Whisky Live celebrates its 13th anniversary this year when it takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre from November 11 to 13. The show offers those who appreciate the golden dram the opportunity to experience some of the world’s finest whiskies.

The Glenlivet, the single malt that started it all, gives visitors to this year’s Whisky Live Festival the opportunity to learn more about and indulge in its classic range, starting from its 12 year old expression going up to its rare 21 year old expression.

Visitors to The Glenlivet experience at Whisky Live will have the opportunity to learn more about this finely crafted whisky that is steeped in a rich heritage and superior quality. The whisky’s dedication to excellence remains unchanged since founder George Smith started the first licensed distillery in 1824. Today, under the helm of master distiller and 30-year industry veteran Alan Winchester, The Glenlivet continues to be an award winning whisky.

This year, The Glenlivet brings Whisky Live visitors the ‘Dram Room’. Hosted by independent whisky aficionado Patrick Leclezio, the ‘Dram Room’ is an immersive, multi-sensory whisky appreciation experience.  For those who prefer the ‘bite size’ version of a whisky tasting, The Glenlivet brand ambassador will also be on hand at the stand to explain the intricacies of this fine liquid and how best to enjoy it.
“A true connoisseur appreciates a great whisky with all of their senses,” says Triya Govender, brand manager of Single Malt Whisky and Cognac at Pernod Ricard South Africa.
“This year, The Glenlivet invites you to enter the fold of whisky connoisseurs and indulge in the single malt that started it all, in a truly immersive way.”
The Glenlivet Dram Room tastings will run every 20 minutes at the show. Make sure you’re part of the experience: visit The Glenlivet stand.
