Gagasi FM DJ Wins Etv Rhythm City Actress Search

Etv's youth soapie produced by Quizzical Productions has found its Nomalanga after an open casting call where fans of the show were asked to submit videos to the show to audition for the role. 

22-year-old Durbanite, radio DJ and PR graduate Jessica Shozi has landed the role of Nomalanga, Zolani’s fiancé and the daughter of a mining magnate and struggle veteran on Rhythm City.

The auditions ran online for a week and 12 finalists were chosen before the final decision was made this week.

Shozi is no stranger to the industry. The Durban radio station, Gagasi FM, listeners will know her as  as "The Flame".

She starts filming early this month and will make her screen debut on Wednesday, 13 July 2016.
