[AWARDS] Limpopo Honors Its Native Talent at the Fame SA Awards 2016

SUPPLIED: Winners of the second installment of the Limpopo’s Fame SA awards were announced at a glittering affair ceremony at the Jack Botes Hall on Sunday, 7th August 2016. The awards, recognizing and honouring outstanding talent from Limpopo Province celebrated best performances in various categories cutting across sports, music, film and television.

Limpopo residents took this as an opportunity to dress up as they came through to walk the red carpet with their favourite stars. The glittering affair was graced by celebrities including sport presenter Kwena Moabelo, Ashifashaba, Tholi B, Pebetsi Matlaila (Skeem Saam), Candy tsa Mandebele, Maumela Mahuwa (Muvhango) and the young Rinae Mbombo (Muvhango) who also won the best newcomer award.

“Its very pleasing to be able to recognize talent from Limpopo and the fraternities that they are part of, each year we marvel and celebrate the immense talent from this Province and to us its important to continue to provide a platform that showcase exceptional talent”, said Matodzi Makananisa CEO Fame SA Awards.

The highest accolades the awards can bestow, was presented by De Beers Mining to Aubrey Mthombeni in recognition of his outstanding and exceptional contribution to Print Media.

The FAME SA Awards are brought to you by the National Lottery, De Beers, Old Mutual Limpopo, the Provincial Department of Arts and Culture and the Limpopo Media House.
