Anele Mdoda's Talkshow Renewed For Second Season And Taking New York


Anele Mdoda's talkshow on SABC3 has been renewed for a second season. The talkshow, which was part of the SABC's 80% content quota, has amassed positive reviews from social media despite low tv ratings. 

Real Talk With Anele, has been at the centre of entertainment conversation since its debut in July 2016. The Cheeky Media produced talker has dished out some trending interviews with the likes of Julius Male and the controversial singer Kelly Khumalo. 



The first season of Real Talk With Anele ends on October 25th and is set to be followed by a new 60 episode season. 


For its new season, the talkshow is taking a bite out of the Big Apple. Viewers will get to see Anele interviewing South Africans in New York city who are making their mark in the USA. 

During her recent trip to the US, Mdoda sat down with South African milliner to the stars Albertus Swanepoel and his friend SA Fashion Week founder Lucilla Booyzen. Also interviewed for this season is Johannesburg native Hugo Uys, who has planned galas and events for clients including Marc Jacobs, George Soros, Susan Sarandon and the United Nations.


One can not talk about South Africans making a mark in the US this year without mentioning, Pearl Thusi and Trevor Noah. Mdoda gets to sits with both stars and talk to Thusi about her role in the ABC drama, Quantico and Noah about the success he is amassing as the host of the Daily Show.
  

For October, the new season will also feature interviews by DJ Zinhle and Blair Underwood.
