The film's local producer Dumisani Gumbi or the Ergo company who produced the recent hits Mrs Right Guy and Dora’s Peace says about the US/SA co-production,
“We are excited to be collaborating with director Samad Davis on this RomCom featuring local talent alongside US A-listers sharing the platform as equals. Production on the film started earlier this week in Atlanta Georgia with all post production of the film taking place in South Africa making it a truly collaborative production between the producers and countries."
Director Samad Davis says;
“As an African-American, I am fueled by my vision of bridging cultural gaps between Africa and America through the power of film and television. Being able to work with the right South African and international talent, both in front of and behind the camera, is priceless. Team work truly makes the team work."
The film is set to release locally and internationally in the first quarter of 2017.
