Lorcia Cooper Returns to TV in New Prison Drama For Mzansi Magic

Toldya early October that Black Brain Productions was in production on a new prison drama series ala Orange Is The New Black. I also revealed that the show was called Lockdown. Now the cast for the series has been revealed and former Backstage star, Lorcia Cooper is one of them. 

Cooper who hasn't had a major tv presence, if any, since she left etv soap Scandal after being with the show for four years, will take on the lead role of Tyson in Lockdown. 

A tough-as-nails prison boxing champ who literally fights her demons with her fists. Temperamental, intimidating and confrontational, Tyson wants to rule the prison’s other inmates with an iron fist and has her sights set on dismantling any kind of hold that the prison warder has. Complete control is her ultimate prize.

The all-girl lead cast also includes Zola Nombona, Lindiwe Ndlovu and Dawn Thandeka King.
